Margarita History
There are many claims to the origin of the Margarita.  Some say it evolved from the traditional ‘Tequila Daisy’ (Margarita is Spanish for Daisy), similar to the Margarita with more focus on lemon and lime, than the balance of orange liquor in the Margarita.

Others say it was created in a Tijuana bar for the Ziegfeld dancer Majorie King. Another popular story is that it was created by socialite Margarita Sames for guests at her Acapulco holiday home.  Regardless of how it originated, the blend of Tequila, Cointreau Liqueur, and lime is one of the most popular cocktails of choice.

Serving Suggestions
To serve, line the rim of a tumbler with fresh lime and dip the rim in salt.  Fill the glass with ice, then pour Dr Onyx Margarita.  Add a squeeze of fresh lime and drop in a lime wedge to complete your ‘south of the border’ experience.
